4 Stocks to Watch as We Start the Trading Week

US Markets closed higher Friday despite the disaster in Japan and Day of Rage hype. Today seemed to be a day of rotation into safer assets. But the pre-market action is heating up.

Here are a few of today’s most active stocks trading pre-market:

1) Fushi Copperweld Inc. (NASDAQ:FSIN): Shares of the bi-metallic wire producer were down $0.92 or 9.77% after reporting that it is re-evaluation the application of GAAP for its 2007, 008, and 2009 results. The company also plans to review theirs statements for the first 3 quarters of 2010.

2) Bidz.com Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDZ): Shares of the online retail jeweler were down $0.09 or 5.20% after issuing Q1 guidance below market expectations. However, Q4 results met estimates on increased revenue of 5%. Luxury companies have been subject to M&A chatter, so this one may bounce back sooner than normal.

3) TiVO Inc. (NASDAQ:TIVO): Shares of the producer of advanced television technology and services were up $0.16 or 1.82% after announcing possible integration of Hulu Plus (NYSE:GE) and iPad (NASDAQ:AAPL) streaming. The company also plans a private debt offering of $150 million.

4) Energy Conversion Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:ENER): Shares of the alternative energy company were down $0.03 or 1.21% after taking a huge 21.52% hit intraday. The company announced a reduction in production and a pullback in cost structure. The reduction comes from the pullback of subsidies in the French and Italian solar market, big markets for the company.

Keep these stocks on your watch list for today’s trading. Good luck out there!
