One of the new features allows the restricting of local search results to places recommended by top reviews or Google+ circles. The update is a more immersive interface that will likely work well on mobile devices. Rather than concentrating upon navigational elements, buttons and sidebars, the new Google Maps centers on the map.

T-Mobile US (NYSE:TMUS): Current price $17.75

The combined company resulting from the recently-concluded union of MetroPCS Communications and T-Mobile USA, on Wednesday posted first quarter results for T-Mobile USA, which showed significant, positive customer inertia throughout the quarter and also the first positive branded customer growth in four years. The new entity reported 3,000 branded net customer additions for the quarter, coming from a 61-percent year-over-year improvement in branded postpaid net customer losses due mostly to improved branded postpaid churn performance, reinforced with branded prepaid customer growth.

3D Systems (NYSE:DDD): Current price $43.38

On Wednesday, 3D reported that it expects pricing of its previously announced offering to sell shares of its common stock after the close on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday. On May 7, the company announced a proposed underwritten public offering of around $250 million. Along with the $250 million from 3D Systems, certain stockholders, among which include certain officers and directors and their affiliates, are offering a total amount of roughly 1.3 million shares in the offering.

Groupon (NASDAQ:GRPN): Current price $5.59

Faisal Masud, chief of the firm’s retail division will exit next week to lead Staples’ online and digital unit, after around a year at the Internet daily deals company. Masud came to Groupon in 2012 from eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) to manage “Groupon Goods”, intended to compete more directly with eBay and Amazon.com. Effective May 20, he will head development of e-commerce for Staples, according to a statement on Tuesday.
