The innovator of audio products and solutions reported Thursday that it has retained the services of Houlihan Lokey, an international advisory-focused investment bank, which has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial restructuring, and valuation. Parametric Sound Executive Chairman Ken Potashner commented that ”the Company has been approached by several industry leaders in key target verticals to discuss strategic alternatives. We have engaged Houlihan Lokey to help us assess the opportunities.”

The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA): Closing price $85.85

Boeing has expanded its alliance with Bharat Electronics, according to The Wall Street Journal. Through the new agreement, the Indian company is contracted to manufacture more components for the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet, and will provide sub-assemblies such as power and cockpit console panels.

Shares closed up more than 15 percent on Thursday, no doubt in response to a letter from the law firm Dickstein Shapiro dated March 27: ”We represent I/P Engine, Inc. in the above-referenced case. This Court scheduled a pretrial conference to be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. I/P Engine has yet to serve the Complaint on Defendant ‘Microsoft Corp. as the parties are discussing settlement. The deadline to serve the Complaint in this case is May 31, 2013. Accordingly, I/PEngine requests that this Court adjourn the scheduled pretrial conference for 60 days.”
