Qihoo on Wednesday announced the pricing of its private placement of $550 million principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2018. The notes were offered to qualified institutional buyers through Rule 144A under the United States Securities Act of 1933 as amended and non-United States buyers in offshore transactions in compliance with Regulation S under the Securities Act. The transaction should close on or about September 5, subject to the usual closing conditions

Analysts International Corp. (NASDAQ:ANLY): Closing price $6.38

IT services firm American CyberSystems Inc. will acquire Analysts International Corp. in a transaction valued at roughly $35 million. Through the terms, ACS will commence a tender offer for all outstanding shares of AIC at $6.45 per share in cash, which represents a 62.1 percent premium over the average closing price for AIC during the past 30 days. The buyer’s board unanimously OK’d the transaction and recommends that the firm’s shareholders accept ACS’s offer.

First Solar appointed Joe Kishkill as its chief commercial officer. Kishkill will have comprehensive leadership responsibility for global business development, sales, and international public affairs, with a primary concentration on sustainable growth in emerging markets. Alvarion Ltd. (NASDAQ:ALVR): Closing price $0.63

Shares of Alvarion closed up more than 65 percent Wednesday on no apparent news. On Friday, the worldwide provider of optimized wireless broadband solutions, which is in receivership, announced that Yoav Kfir, the court-appointed receiver, submitted a motion to the District Court of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, asking the court to OK the sale of the firm and certain assets to Valley Telecom Ltd. The latter offered to purchase Alvarion’s assets and activity, excluding its patents, for an immediate payment of $1.5 million and milestone payments of at least $1.8 million, payable within 12 months.
