According to Dow Jones, Taiwanese touch-panel maker TPK Holding filed suits in China against Nokia Corporation and others seeking damages as well as production halts for allegedly infringing one of their patents that is related to a technology for making touchscreens thinner.
ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT): Current price $16.75
According to the company’s Chief Financial Officer, ArcelorMittal has submitted a bid to ThyssenKrupp AG (TKA.XE) showing their interest in purchasing the German steelmaker’s steel plant in Calvert, Alabama. Aditya Mittal told analysts on a call Wednesday that the Alabama steel plant is “clearly a world class asset in terms of quality and capability” and noted that ArcelorMittal has identified synergies that would make their bid attractive.
