After Hours Movers on a Jittery Day for Markets
Here are some of the most heavily traded stocks after hours:
1) Exxon-Mobil (NYSE:XOM) Breaking even in after hours trades following losses of .50% on the day. Investors are nervous following news of an oil spill (by an XOM owned pipeline company) on the Yellowstone River. The company is holding a press conference this afternoon to field media questions on the spill.
2) Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE:MI) up a tick (.13%) after hours following losses of 2.35% today. The company is up on news that the government has received $1.7 billion in repayments re: loans extended to the company through the TARP program. WSJ reports that the Bank of Montreal (NYSE:BMO), which has agreed to buyout MI, will refund the government’s investment.
3) Accenture (NYSE:ACN) giving back a bit on the day’s gains, down .24% after hours following a day when the stock added 1.45%, reaching a new 52 week high. ACN stock a big winner in 2011, up 27.9% on the year and 62.76% YTD.
