Strong retail sales data from June continues to pour in this afternoon following positive reports from Walgreens (NYSE:WAG) and others earlier today. These companies reported same-store sales data just minutes ago:
Hot Topic (NASDAQ:HOTT) stock is up 1.35% after hours following losses of 3.51% on the day. The company reported same store sales this afternoon that edged up in June, getting a boost of .4% on the month. Analysts were expecting a rougher month for the niche clothing retailer, with projections of declines by as much as 2.4% according to a Reuters poll. HOTT stock up 27.9% in the past three months.
Zumiez (NASDAQ:ZUMZ) also reported same store sales in June that topped analysts estimates by a wide margin today. The company’s sales were up 9.8% for the month with consensus projections shooting for a raise of 5.7%. ZUMZ stock is up 2.62% after hours following a loss of .42% on the day. In the past six months Zumiez shares are up 7.65% and up over 60% in the past year.
