Alcoa Shares Attractive to Analysts, Juniper Networks Brushes Off Lower Price Target

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (NYSEARCA:DIA) is up 56 points, or .45%, to 12,448. The S&P 500 (NYSEARCA:SPY) is up 9 points, or .74%, to 1,290, and the Nasdaq (NASDAQ:QQQ) is up 19 points, or .74%, to 2,696. The following stocks are reacting to news released from the brokerage community today:

Alcoa (NYSE:AA): Jefferies says despite a fourth quarter earnings miss reported by Alcoa, the still see a building momentum. The firm’s analysts predict higher aluminum prices but sound cautious with a Buy and $12 target. Dahlman Rose reiterated Buy for this company and raised target from $14.65 to$17.50.

Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS): Favorable data from NPD and a positive pre-announcement from Cirrus had iPhone chip suppliers outperforming in premarket NASDAQ. NPD has also released favorable data. Needham reiterated Strong Buy and raised target from $23 to $25.

Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR): Auriga’s Sandeep Shyamsukha says reduced guidance from Juniper Investors has not surprised investors and JNPR is trading positive early. Shyamsukha views JNPR as “well positioned to benefit from an expected uptick in router spending at servant content providers.” Mizuho reiterated Neutral and lowered target from $22 to $17.
