Alliance Data said that its board has okayed a new stock buyback program to purchase as much as $400 million of its common stock during the current year. Allergan (NYSE:AGN): Closing price $98.86

Allergan wants to divest its obesity division by the end of the first quarter, says Bloomberg. Chief Executive David Pyott revealed in an interview at the JPMorgan healthcare conference, that there is a lot of interest from some strategic firms and private equity players, as well. Shares closed up 0.53 percent on the day at $98.86, having been traded in a 52-week range of $81.28 to $98.63.

Signet Jewelers Limited (NYSE:SIG): Closing price $58.70

The company estimates capital spending for its fiscal year 2013 at between $138 million and $142 million, based upon current projections of project timing. Along with the Ultra Stores purchase, Signet expects to set up 48 new US-based stores for the year. Shares closed up 9.05 percent on the day at $58.70, having been traded in a 52-week range of $40.74 to $56.95.
