Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) founder, Jeff Bezos, unveiled the tech company’s highly anticipated tablet computer the Kindle Fire this morning. However, there were more goodies in the basket. Amazon is also launching a line of new, more affordable Kindles. “What we are doing is offering premium products at non-premium prices,” Bezos said.
The new line of Kindle e-readers start at $79, which is $25 less than the previous models. The Kindle Fires start as low as $199, less than half the price of the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad.
