American Express Is Now Accepted in Canada By Square and 2 Other Dow Movers to Watch

American Express Co. (NYSE:AXP): Current price $82.86

On Monday, Square announced that Canadian Square customers may now accept American Express and JCB credit card payments with Square. Small and mobile business owners who use Square are now able to process American Express, VISA, MasterCard, and JCB payments at the rate of 2.75 percent. Local businesses are the backbone of communities throughout Canada with an excess of 1 million small businesses in the country and 2.7 million Canadians who are self employed. Residents carry an average of two credit cards per household.


Chevron Corp. (NYSE:CVX): Current price $120.80

A crucial witness in Chevron’s racketeering trial against the environmental lawyer Steven Donziger, who won a $19-billion decision against the company in Ecuador in 2011, has testified to personal knowledge of corruption in the Ecuadorian courts going back decades.
