Amylin Pharmaceuticals is Up After Good Earnings

Shares of Amylin Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:AMLN) are trading higher today after the company beat consensus expectations.  The company earned $0.08 per share, though its revenue of $155 million was less than expected.  Seeking Alpha is also reporting that the company won approval from the FDA for a drug to treat Type 2 diabetes.  It is in a partnership with Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) for that drug.
