ARIAD Shares Skyrocketing With 11 Positive Estimate Revisions

Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ARIA): Current price $4.99

November continues to be a magic month for ARIAD, which skyrocketed on Friday, closing up by more than 35 percent on the day. The jump came on heavy volume as well, with many more shares being trading than in a normal session, with the trend continuing Monday as the shares up by more than 16 percent. The upwards movement for the healthcare firm has been seen since October 31, and the stock is now up since then by about 72 percent. Further, in the last 60-day frame, Ariad saw 11 positive estimate revisions, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate also moved up.


General Motors Co. (NYSE:GM): Current price $37.70

It was announced Monday that those persons who sign up as drivers for Uber Technology Inc.’s car-booking service will be able to obtain discounted financing or leasing for vehicles built by General Motors and Toyota Motor Corp. Drivers registered to pick up passengers, who request and pay for rides employing Uber’s mobile application, will be allowed to go to a dealership and purchase designated Toyota or GM cars approved for the program at lower rates via vehicle-financing firms, said Uber Chief Executive Travis Kalanick in an interview. Uber is doubling down to keep pace with demand while more drivers sign up, and the firm expands into new cities.


Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE:RAD): Current price $5.55

Rite Aid is jumping ahead of Black Friday this year by giving shoppers a head start, with many of its 4,600 locations open at least 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday. The National Retail Federation says that as many as 140 million shoppers will hit retailers nationwide on Black Friday weekend. Executive Vice President, Merchandising, Tony Montini, for Rite Aid observed that, “For retailers and shoppers alike, Black Friday marks the official start  of the holiday shopping season. Our shelves are stocked with  this year’s must-have items, all at an incredible savings. And our convenient locations and extended hours make it easier than ever for our customers to get great gifts for everyone on their lists, making for one ‘happy’ holiday season.”
