Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon: Here’s How Much the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Couple Is Really Worth
There’s money in reality TV. That we know. Those needing proof for just how lucrative The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise is, need look no further than Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon. The two both endured an emotional journey on their respective seasons but formed a unique friendship with each other through the years. Since then, fans have kept up with the pair, hoping they’d fall in love. It finally happened.
They also raked in the cash, as a result of their reality TV fame. What fans don’t know is that Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are very successful business people in their own right. The duo will soon become a two-income household now that they’re recently engaged. Here’s how much the couple is worth.
They’re engaged … finally!
- News broke of their engagement before Ashley I could tell her grandma.
Though Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon only recently confirmed their official relationship status in late May, the two have been close friends for more than three years. People magazine confirmed this week that Jared proposed to Ashley while filming for season five of the summer spin-off series, Bachelor in Paradise, the very same show that broke her heart when Jared didn’t reciprocate her feelings of love way back in 2015. But their journey toward fame and money all started on one very successful ABC reality show.
Entering the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise
- Contestants are not paid to appear on The Bachelor/Bachelorette
Contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette don’t make any money for their appearances on ABC’s most successful reality TV series, even though contestants have been rumored to rack up a hefty bill funding their dramatic “journey to find love”. The stars of the show, however, are usually paid $100,000 or more for their time.
Ashley Iaconetti appeared on The Bachelor season 19 with Chris Soules while Jared appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season a year later. Neither contestant made any money on the show, but their popularity earned them a permanent spot in the Bachelor franchise and lucrative presence on social media — where the real money is.
Multiple stints in ‘Paradise’
- Ashley I. and Jared Haibon have both filmed multiple seasons of Bachelor in Paradise
Neither Ashley or Jared found love on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but each became fan favorites on their perspective seasons. This secured them both spots on Bachelor in Paradise, only this time, they were compensated for their time. Reality Steve says contestants are paid per day on the island, per episode they appear in, or a flat rate. Usually this ranges anywhere from $7,000 to $15,000 total.
Ashley underwent two stints on “BIP”, as did Jared, meaning they both earned a sizable wad of cash for their contributions to the beachside drama.
Lucrative social endorsements
- Ashley I and Jared Haibon make thousands per social post
The real reality TV money comes after filming, when the cast can start endorsing products on social media. The going Instagram influencer rate for average celebrities is $1,000 per post per 100,000 followers, but highly-visible celebs likely negotiate much more. Ashley has close to 1 million followers and Jared has well over half a million, so their social endorsement rate for brands like Hello Fresh and Fit, Fab, Fun is probably closer to $5,000 per 100,000 followers, analysts say.
Ashley I’s numerous business ventures
- She is a podcaster, TV correspondent, and video producer
These days, Ashley I. can add podcaster, TV correspondent, and video producer to her resume. Since becoming a notorious Bachelor alum, Ashley has contributed to Cosmopolitan and Access Hollywood. She co-hosts on two podcasts, one with beloved Bachelor, Ben Higgins, and another with her sister.
These podcasts are lucrative, too. The Hustle says podcasts with 100,000 plus listeners — and easy feat for most Bachelor peeps — can bring 14,000 to $50,000 per episode when considering sponsorship advertisements.
Jared works as a restaurant manager
- Off camera, Jared is a restaurant manager in Rhode Island
Outside of the Bachelor franchise, Jared Haibon’s life is quite low-key. It’s his job as a restaurant manager in Providence, Rhoda Island that awards him such a flexible schedule and the time off needed to film shows. According to Glassdoor, restaurant managers in Rhode Island earn an average annual salary of $54,000 depending on the nature of the restaurant. His management career — one that we still believe he holds to this day — includes two popular restaurants, meaning his annual salary is a bit higher.
They both booked one more show
- The money to appear on Bachelor-related shows is often too good to turn down
Both Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon booked one more reality TV show before making their relationship official. On Ashley I’s video show, The Story of Us, Jared confessed to reluctantly booking a Bachelor in Paradise: Australia and struggling with his feelings for her while filming. He even refused to give one contestant a rose in an unprecedented BIP move. Ashley I. did a final stint on Bachelor Winter Games that aired earlier this year. While payment for these appearances is unknown, Jared reveals the money was too good to turn down.
The couple’s overall net worth
- Ashley I has an estimated net worth of $500,000.
Both Ashley and Jared make regular celebrity appearances at clubs and other promotional events. These appearances can usually earn them thousands in appearance fees. Though unverified, sources estimate Ashley Iaconetti is worth $500,000. This is including all social media, television, and business-related income. Combined with Jared’s comfortable annual income, whose net worth is also unreported, the two are undoubtedly running full steam ahead into a financially secure future.
