An impending boardroom shuffle at Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE:TM) is likely to implement the long expected elevation of Vice Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada, who spearheaded the development of Toyota’s Prius hybrid car, to the position of Chairman, though a final decision is yet to be made. Toyota watchers claim, however, that this is unlikely to upset the the power base of president Akio Toyoda as “It’s a case of a pro-Akio executive replacing another Akio supporter as chairman. This isn’t going to change the whole scheme of things at Toyota,” according to Reuters.
Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL): Current Price $13.61
Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) reported net income of $238 million ($0.28 per diluted share) for the fourth quarter. Quarterly revenue was up 2% year-on-year despite a loss of $75 million revenue due to Superstorm Sandy. Load factor increased to 83.3% as traffic rose 0.7% even though capacity decreased 1.3%. Passenger revenue climbed 3% while cargo revenue fell 5.9%. Total operating expense was higher by $577 million due to higher fuel costs and wages. Average fuel price was $3.24 per gallon in the quarter, including 5 cents a gallon on account of settled hedged gains and 7 cents a gallon loss from the Trainer refinery. Operations at the refinery were adversely affected by Superstorm Sandy resulting in a quarterly net loss of $63 million.

AT&T (NYSE:T) announced its agreement to acquire the retail wireless operations, including wireless properties, licenses, network assets, retail stores and about 585,000 subscribers from Atlantic Tele-Network Inc (NASDAQ:ATNI) for $780 billion in cash. The latter operates under the Alltel brand name the US. Spectrum owned by ATNI in the 700 Mhz, 850 Mhz and 1900 MHz bands would also be included in the acquisition. The transaction is likely to close in the second half of 2013, subject to regulatory approvals.
TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ:AMTD): Current Price $19.21
TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ:AMTD) announces FQ1 EPS of $0.27 and revenue of $651 million which beat by $0.02 and $18.52 million respectively. Net new client assets grew by $16 billion, a growth of 13% year-on-year. Market fee-based revenue was $55 million, a record, and up 28% year-on-year. Client assets were approximately $481 billion as at the end of the quarter. A quarterly cash dividend of $0.09 per share was declared.“TD Ameritrade continues to benefit from strong organic growth and disciplined management of our balance sheet,” said Bill Gerber, executive vice president and chief financial officer. “Our record organic growth this quarter helped grow interest rate sensitive assets to a record $90 billion, up 14 percent from last year, leaving us even better-positioned for rising interest rates.”
