BlackBerry Cloud Partners with Microsoft

Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) is now begging rivals for help. The new BlackBerry Business Cloud Services for Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) Office 365 implicitly shows the two companies have partnered for the service.

Using Exchange Online, corporate administrators can manage corporate data on employee devices without affecting personal data. The service will allow BlackBerry smartphone users to synchronize online date for calendar, organizer, and, of course, Microsoft Exchange Email in 50 countries.

Does it make sense for these two companies to merge? So far, RIM’s new chief executive Thorsten Heins has said he doesn’t think any changes are needed, and he doesn’t appears ready to sell the company. The joint venture could be leading to something more; to what that may be, however…we’ll all just have to wait and see.
