Boeing Establishes New Engineering Centers and 2 Other Dow Movers to Watch

On Friday, Boeing announced that it is setting up new centers for engineering design, propulsion and out-of-production airplane support for Commercial Airplanes, while it continues to lay the foundation for heightened rivalry and profitable growth in its second 100 years. The company will establish engineering design centers in South Carolina, Washington state, and Southern California, which will operate independently but cooperatively with each another and with the existing Commercial Airplanes engineering design center in Moscow. In a related strategic play, Boeing Commercial Airplanes is establishing a propulsion operation in South Carolina so as to improve the performance of future airplanes, starting with the 737 MAX.

The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use has adopted a positive opinion, recommending a variation to the terms of the marketing authorization for Pfizer’s medicinal product Prevenar 13. The Committee adopted a change to an indication as follows: Active immunization for the prevention of invasive disease caused by Streptococcus pneumonia in adults 18 years of age and the elderly.
Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ): Current price $49.17
Recently, Verizon Wireless improved fourth generation Long Term Evolution network coverage along the North Shore of Massachusetts. 4G LTE empowers Verizon Wireless customers with compatible devices with which to surf the Web, post status updates and photos, and also download files wirelessly at speeds as much as 10 times faster than customers on 3G networks. Verizon Wireless first introduced its 4G LTE network on the North Shore in August of last year.
