BofA SHUTS DOWN 1500 ATMs and 4 Hot Stocks Making Waves

Bank of America (NYSE:BAC): In its effort to reduce retail operations costs more, Bank of America has closed over 1,500 automated teller machines in 2012 (around 9 percent of its network), a regulatory finding reveals. Bank of America shares are trading lower by 0.56 percent today.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook and primary Samsung Electronic Co. (SSNLF) executives last week opposed each other on the value of their patents at a settlement conference, according to sources talking to Reuters, prior to their trial starts next week. Apple shares are trading 0.26 percent higher today.

Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) is trying hard to keep its main advertising customers happy by granting more access to its data while at the same time guarding privacy and security of its users, Reuters reports, while under pressure to continue enhancing its revenues. Shares of Facebook are trading 0.14 percent higher today.

AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T) reported a net rise in total wireless subscribers of 1.3 million in the second quarter to make it to 105.2 million served. This incorporates gains in every customer segment, including subscribers (net adds of 320,000), prepaid (net adds of 92,000), connected device (net adds of 382,000), and reseller (net adds of 472,000). These gains demonstrate continued adoption of smartphones and tablet sales. Total wireless revenues, including sales of equipment, climbed to be up 4.8 percent year over year to $16.4 billion. AT&T shares are trading 2.35 percent lower today.

Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK): According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple will react to Samsung’s leap to be the biggest smartphone seller globally by next Monday claiming the usurper cheated its way to the top by stealing Apple’s iPhone and iPad designs. Barring a settlement, the trial will get underway at the federal courthouse in San Jose, CA. Nokia shares are trading 2.73 percent lower today.
