Cameron International Gives Cash to BP for Epic Oil Spill

Cameron International (NYSE:CAM) agrees to pay BP (NYSE:BP) $250M over the Deepwater Horizon disaster. In return, both parties will drop their charges against each other and BP will safeguard Cameron against lawsuits under the U.S. Oil Pollution Act and other claims. Cameron’s insurers will pay for at least $170M of the settlement amount, and will take a Q4 charge over the remainder.
