Can These 3 Tech Stocks Keep the Dow Rallying?

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (NYSE:DIA) is up slightly today by .28% to stand at 11,222. Although the tech sector is down .13%, three noteworthy stocks are all in that sector.

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT): Microsoft and Samsung have agreed to collaborate on smartphones. Microsoft will begin to receive royalties on all Android sales. The most tantalizing aspect of this deal is that the two companies will collaborate to create a Windows phone. Microsoft’s stock is up 1.60%.

IBM (NYSE:IBM): IBM’s stock has been bolstered by the news that they will work with Intel to create a joint research and development lab in New York state. The focus will be on nanotechnology and on creating microscopic chips that can operate on multiple platforms. IBM’s stock is up 1.37%.

CISCO (NASDAQ:CSCO): Cisco immediately gained at the opening of the market today. Shelby Seyrafi at FBN Securities likes the fundamentals of Cisco: a low valuation, a solid dividend and a robust cash flow. Cisco’s stock is up 1.18%.
