According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn has moved a bit farther into the voice-recognition firm Nuance, as he now owns 16.9 percent of Nuance, up from 16.4. Word of this has driven shares on the company up about 4.6 percent in late Friday trading on heavy volume. Icahn’s Nuance investment is being managed by his son, Brett Icahn, together with David Schechter.

On Friday, NVIDIA said that it is collaborating with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games Montréal to produce Batman: Arkham Origins, which is the next installment in the blockbuster Batman: Arkham videogame franchise — a technically advanced and intensely realistic chapter in the award-winning saga designed for PC players. Delta and Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd., which is the carrier majority-owned by United Kingdom billionaire Richard Branson, has scored tentative United States approval of antitrust immunity to permit them ton coordinate fares and schedules. A final okay would let the airlines integrate their networks and finalize a commercial relationship driven by Delta’s recent acquisition of a 49-percent interest in Virgin, according to the Department of Transportation through a Friday filing. The Delta spokesman Anthony Black confirmed the filing.
