Chevron Faces Slide and 1 Dow Mover to Follow

The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) and its current labor negotiations with the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, or SEEPA, has prompted the following statement from Director George H. Cohen of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service: “At the request of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, negotiations between The Boeing Company and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, IFPTE Local 2001 are being suspended until after the first of the year. Both sides agreed to this mediator request. In the interim, the FMCS will be in discussion with the parties to schedule resumption of negotiations.”

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX), which is experiencing its longest slide in energy production in four years, could use its record cash to restart growth by purchasing Cobalt International Energy (NYSE:CIE) or Kosmos Energy (NYSE:KOS), according to Bloomberg.
