Coca-Cola Begins to Set Up Ekocenters and 2 More Heavily Traded Stocks to Follow

It was announced Monday that Coca-Cola is starting the work of establishing its one-stop shops for vital resources in developing communities. The shops, named Ekocenters, will provide resources such as internet, clean water, power, vaccines, cooked meals, and Coke products to areas that have no access to them. By the end of 2015, Coca-Cola should have set up between 1,500 and 2,000 Ekocenters in 20 countries, spanning Africa, Asia, North America, and Latin America.

Sirius said Monday that El Show de Piolin, hosted by Spanish-language radio’s top host Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, will debut October 18 on SiriusXM’s Piolin Radio channel 147. SiriusXM is offering access to Piolin’s new show and channel, together with a suite of Latino programming, via a special low-cost satellite subscription offer and at no cost, for a limited time, online and through the SiriusXM App.

Allied Nevada shares are up by 27 percent Monday in very heavy trading, after being upgraded from Sector Perform to Outperform at Scotia Capital. The analysts upgraded the stock following the release of positive third-quarter gold output and sales figures.
