Coca-Cola Expands PlantBottle Production and 1 Hot Stock to Eye

Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) partners with Indian plastic and textile group JBF Industries Ltd to further expand the production of Coke’s PlantBottle packaging which is the first recyclable PET plastic bottle made partially from plants. These packages are less dependent on fossil fuels and have a low carbon impact. JBF will set up the world’s largest facility to produce bio-glycol, the key ingredient in these bottles, in Brazil.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Auto points out in a tweet that California becomes the third state to legalise self driving cars, after Florida and Nevada. Apparently, the signing ceremony for the legislation took place at Google’s Mountain View headquarters. Another snippet of information: “60 million Americans now live in states where cars theoretically could operate free of their owners.” Self-driving cars are also on the radars of auto-makers such as GM (NYSE:GM), BMW (BAMXY.PK), and Audi (VLKAY.PK).
