Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX): Current Price: $168.50

Netflix Inc. has been able to make an aggressive comeback from a rough period in which Wall Street punished it for failing to meet its own ambitious growth expectations. The company’s stock saw a sharp incline on Thursday after it posted gains in U.S. subscribers and earnings for Q4 that exceeded investor expectations. Netflix shares were boosted $43.60, or 42 percent, to $146.86, which is the biggest single-day leap in the company’s history.

Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR): Current Price: $51.24

The recently launched Redbox Instant streaming service isn’t the only way Redbox is attempting to expand its business beyond physical DVD and game rentals. Yesterday, the Coinstar-owned company started to offer its Los Angeles customers the ability to purchase tickets to sporting event, standup comedy shows, theme parks, night clubs, concerts etc., via its new Redbox Tickets service.

Dish Network Corp. (NASDAQ:DISH): Current Price:$37.54

DISH rises after AT&T (NYSE:T) made the agreement to buy wireless spectrum from Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) for $1.9 billion worth in cash and a contribution of Advanced Wireless Services spectrum licenses. After the announcement about the deal from the two carriers, a Wells Fargo analyst wrote that the deal shows that DISH’s spectrum is “an extremely valuable asset.” Wells Fargo analyst Marci Ryvicker is convinced that, based on the price AT&T paid, the spectrum owned by DISH has a worth of about $5.3 billion. Ryvicker keeps an Outperform rating on the stock, and during early afternoon trading, DISH saw a 72c, or 1.97 percent, rise to $37.35.
