Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSA): For the fourth quarter of 2011, revenue from the Cable Networks segment increased 5.3% to $2.2B. For the fourth quarter of 2011, revenue from the Broadcast Television segment decreased 3.7% to $1.8B. For the fourth quarter of 2011, revenue from the Filmed Entertainment segment decreased 1.8% to $1.3B. For the fourth quarter of 2011, revenue from the Theme Parks segment increased 4.0% to $498M. The shares closed at $28.52, up $1.27 or 4.66% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $19.19 to $27.52.
Conmed Corp. (NASDAQ:CNMD): A non-cash goodwill impairment charge of $38M net of tax in the Patient Care segment caused GAAP diluted loss per share to be 90c for the fourth quarter of 2011 compared to diluted earnings per share of 24c in the comparable quarter of 2010. Once the primary source of the Company’s revenues in the 1980’s through the mid-1990’s, the Patient Care division now comprises only approximately 9% of consolidated revenues. Famous Dave’s (NASDAQ:DAVE): Reports Q4 revenue $37.5M vs. consensus $37.08M (Two analyst estimate). Q4 results included non-impairment charges of 4c per diluted share for specific restaurant assets.
