Try as you might to save your money, you’re still surprised at the end of each month by how much you end up spending. 1. Your morning coffee run
We aren’t just talking about the super fancy lattes either. Certified financial adviser Nancy Fellinger tells USA Today a measly $3-a-day coffee habit becomes “$21.00 a week or $1,092 a year. If I took that $1,092 a year and invested it in something that averaged 7% in 10 years, I’d have $15,087.” Long story short: Invest in a coffee machine and get your fix at home.
