These Companies Are Hiring Like Crazy in 2018

If you’re looking for a job, you have a couple of options. You can head to the best states with hot job markets, or apply at the companies always looking for qualified employees. If you’re looking for a job, these companies hiring like crazy in 2018 are looking for you.

We’ll count down to the company hiring the most employees, and along the way, we’ll visit a company with crazy perks (page 7) and another that’s going to keep growing for years to come (page 10).

11. Infosys

  • Number of jobs: 10,000

You might not have heard of Infosys before, but it’s a huge company. It’s based in India and specializes in IT services and business consulting, and it’s hiring like crazy. According to The Motley Fool, Infosys will add 10,000 U.S. workers by the end of 2018.

10. Yum! Brands

  • Number of jobs: 10,000

Even if you don’t care for the food, Yum! Brands keeps expanding. According to its annual report, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell has more than 45,000 restaurants around the world, which was nearly 2,000 more than the beginning of the year. If it adds even half that many restaurants in 2018 and hires 10 employees per location, that’s 10,000 new hires, which qualifies it to be one of the companies hiring like crazy.

9. Domino’s

Even though it’s probably one of the worst pizza chains in America, Domino’s is everywhere. It surpassed 15,000 stores total early in 2018, and according to The Motley Fool, it’s going to add another 1,045 by the first quarter of 2019. If it hits that number and hires 10 workers per location, that’s 10,450 new jobs that need to be filled.

8. Amazon

You might have heard that Amazon is scouting 20 cities for its second headquarters, which will eventually create 50,000 jobs. Amazon’s not close to that number in 2018, but it has 16,577 North American job openings. It’s always one of the companies hiring like crazy, and 2018 isn’t an exception.

7. FedEx

We thought the Trump tax plan and its corporate tax cuts would never work, but FedEx is proving us wrong. The company is adding $3.2 billion to its payroll, which includes wage increases and 20,000 new jobs, according to The Motley Fool.

6. Apple

Apple is one of the companies hiring like crazy in 2018 — and it will be for years to come. The tech giant committed to adding 20,000 jobs over five years starting in 2018. It’s all part of a $30 billion spending spree, according to Fortune.

5. Google

Google offers some unique perks for its employees and is one of the best companies to work for. It’s also one of the companies hiring like crazy. After all, Google is expanding its footprint in San Jose and around the country, and it needs employees for those jobs.

4. SoftBank

Maybe you’ve never heard of SoftBank, but have you heard of Sprint? The U.S. cell phone carrier is one of the companies SoftBank owns, and it’s planning to add 50,000 U.S. jobs over five years, according to TechCrunch.

3. Lowe’s

Home improvement store Lowe’s already has a huge labor force with close to 250,000 employees, and it’s adding about 20% more in 2018. The company announced in January 2018 it planned to hire more than 53,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees.

2. Starbucks

There are hidden drinks that don’t make the menu and at least one secretive store, but one thing about Starbucks is no secret at all: It’s ambitious growth. Even though it seems like there’s a Starbucks on every corner, the company plans on adding 68,000 American jobs and 240,000 jobs worldwide by 2021. We’d say that makes it one of the companies hiring like crazy.

Just to be clear right away, Home Depot’s 80,000-job hiring spree is for part-time and seasonal positions. Still, it’s a lot of jobs, and the company makes it easy to apply and land an interview. All you have to do is fill out an application online and schedule an interview at whatever time works best for you.
