Pricier items on The Wendy’s Company’s (NYSE:WEN) menu apparently helped the restaurant chain to grow same-store sales by 3 percent in the second quarter. The company is trying to revitalize itself, and next on the agenda is the remodeling of more of its restaurants after the quarter results indicated a nice boom for stores that already had a redo.

The State of Nevada has granted its first ever nod towards the rights to operate an online poker site from within the state, to South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. If this initial move goes as it should for the industry, a regulatory framework might be in the offing. Boyd Gaming Commission (NYSE:BYD), Caesars Entertainment (NYSE:CZR), MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM), and Wynne Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN), are said to be waiting impatiently to get into online poker.
