Cramer: Get in Airgas, Disney, and This Stock; Cash Out on HollyFrontier and Cooper Tire

Jim Cramer made the following calls on July 22nd, 2013. What do you think about his picks?

Airgas Inc. (NYSE:ARG): Jim Cramer ranked this stock a Buy. Cramer previously ranked this stock a Buy on June 18, 2013. The stock’s 52-week high is $104.40, and its 52-week low is $76.01.

Cramer liked the gas space in general, telling viewers to get in Airgas. Commenting on Praxair (NYSE:PX) and the industry in general, the Mad Money host said that “I like these air plays …. compressed gases.” Airgas is trading over $100, pushing towards its 52-week high. The company’s most recent financials are due July 25th, and at the start of this month announced that its cylinder recertification facility in Smyrna, GA was fully operational, after approval from several regulatory bodies.

Another lightning round pick, Cramer simply said that Disney “is a long-term buy.” The stock is performing well recently, within $3 of its 52-week high. It is also continuing to broaden business operations, expanding a merchandising relationship with Hasbro (NYSE:HAS) to make toys for such Disney entertainment properties as Star Wars and Marvel.

Continental Resources Inc. (NYSE:CLR): Jim Cramer ranked this stock a Buy. Cramer previously ranked this stock a Buy on May 3, 2013. The stock’s 52-week high is $96.70, and its 52-week low is $61.02.

Continental Resources was another beneficiary of higher West Texas crude oil prices, according to Cramer, and encouraged his viewers to get in this business as well as others that are directly benefitting from a narrowing spread between Brent crude and its Texan counterpart. He warned to avoided refineries like Marathon (NYSE:MRO) which have to pay higher prices for the commodity now.

HollyFrontier Corporation (NYSE:HFC): Jim Cramer ranked this stock a Sell. Cramer previously ranked this stock a Buy on June 26, 2013. The stock’s 52-week high is $59.20, and its 52-week low is $33.92.

HollyFrontier made it into the sell category, along with Marathon, as Cramer worried about the ramifications of the increased Texas crude prices for refiners. The companies second quarter results are set for release on August 7th.hfc

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (NYSE:CTB): Jim Cramer ranked this stock a Sell. Cramer previously ranked this stock a Sell on October 12, 2012. The stock’s 52-week high is $34.79, and its 52-week low is $15.74.

A sell call during the lightning round, Cramer told his viewers to “Ring the register,” adding that,  “You just won, my friend.” Cooper’s $33.58 trading price today puts it within striking distance of its 52-week high, and this was good enough for the host to tell ‘Cramerica’ to cash out and move on.
