Dell Finalizes Sale to Michael Dell and Silver Lake, and 2 Other Hot Stocks to Watch

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL): Current price $13.86

Dell on Tuesday announced the finalization of its purchase by its founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners. Through the terms, Dell stockholders will receive $13.75 in cash for each share of Dell common stock they own, along with payment of a special cash dividend of 13 cents per share to stockholders of record as of the close on Monday for total consideration of $13.88 per share in cash. The total transaction is valued at roughly $24.9 billion and was OK’d by Dell’s stockholders at a special meeting of stockholders held on September 12.


Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI): Current price $3.74

Sirius XM announced Tuesday that Eminem will participate in a question-and-answer session with a group of listeners for the Sirius XM Town Hall series on November 4, the day before the release of the rapper’s new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Moderated by Shade 45 Sway in the Morning host Sway Calloway, the event will include Eminem answering a number of questions from fans about his career and album.


Sprint Corp. (NYSE:S): Current price $6.71

Sprint on Tuesday turned on 4G LTE service in 45 additional markets to provide an improved customer experience with faster data speeds in more places in which customers employ their mobile device to access the Internet, watch videos, upload photos, and check social networking sites. The announcement also heralds a major expansion of enhanced 3G service, improving coverage, signal strength, and call quality. The new 4G LTE service is now also available in portions of Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island in New York.
