Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL): Current price $13.71

Dell announced Wednesday that the comprehensive secondary school based in Derby, Noel-Baker Community School, has deployed a new information tech infrastructure based on Dell end-to-end solutions. The adoption has created an environment that permits the school’s students to learn in a more engaging manner, supports teachers in delivering fresh and innovative methods of teaching, and gives the IT team automated infrastructure required to quickly respond to IT demands.

Together with giving Noel-Baker Community School the tech it requires to maintain its daily requirements, the Dell-based back-end infrastructure allows the school to offer IT services to neighboring educational institutions and charities.

At its Nuance Mobile Forum in China, the company said that its Dragon TV is behind the new interactive voice capabilities featured as part of Philips TV’s 2013 high-end Smart TVs product array. Thus, users can talk to their Philips Smart TV to locate shows and content, change channels, search the Web, and more. China is one of the first markets to ship Philips’ voice-enabled Smart TV experience, and represents Dragon TV’s Asian launch with support for Mandarin Chinese.


Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA): Current price $134.23

Tesla shares are down a bit over 5 percent late afternoon Wednesday at $135. The electric car maker is set to release its second-quarter earnings after the close. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg expect an adjusted loss of 19 cents per share on revenue of $387.9 million.
