Dividend Changes: Xcel Energy, Republic Bancorp, Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies, Spartan Stores

Xcel Energy Inc. (NYSE:XEL): The board increased the quarterly dividend to 27c per share from 26c per share. The dividend is payable on July 20 to shareholders of record on June 21.

Republic Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ:RBCAA): The cash dividend of 16.5c per share of Class A common stock and 15c per share on Class B common stock will be payable July 20 to shareholders of record as of June 15.

HollyFrontier Corporation (NYSE:HFC) announced that its Board of Directors has approved a 50% increase in its regular quarterly cash dividend to 15c per share from the current rate of 10c per share. The regular dividend will be paid on July 3 to holders of record of common stock on June 12.

Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation (NYSE:WAB): Wabtec increased its regular quarterly dividend to 5c per share, from 3c per share. The new dividend rate will be payable initially Aug. 31 to shareholders of record Aug. 17. Also, at the company’s annual meeting in Pittsburgh Wabtec shareholders elected four directors and approved other company proposals. Directors elected were: Brian P. Hehir, Michael W.D. Howell, Nickolas W. Vande Steeg and Gary C. Valade. In addition, shareholders ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young as the company’s independent registered public accounting firm for FY12 and approved a non-binding proposal relating to executive compensation.

Spartan Stores Inc. (NASDAQ:SPTN): The dividend is payable on June 15 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on June 1.
