Elephant Talk Communications ROCKETS 29% to Lead These 3 AMEX Top Percentage Winners

Elephant Talk Communications (AMEX:ETAK): Now let’s address that elephant in the room, you know, the one whose stock rose tremendously over the course of the day. Elephant Talk announced that it signed a contract to provide mobile services for 55,000 mobile users for the Union of German police, an agreement anticipated to bring $30M to $40M in revenue to the company over the initial 2-year contract period. These revenues will provide substantial margins for the firm, and shares perked at the news, rising 29.31% to close at $2.25.

ImmunoCellular Therapeutics (AMEX:IMUC) will present new data on its lead cancer vaccine candidate for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and it looks like good news is in store. The data show there is a downregulation in some patients of both the tumor associated antigens that ICT-107 is targeting, as well as CD-133, a cancer stem cell marker, a sign that targeting antigens highly expressed by CSCs is a promising strategy for treating patients with GBM. ImmunoCellular shares were up 13.11% and closed at $3.71. They have traded in a 52-week range of $0.98 to $3.45.

Vringo (AMEX:VRNG): With the 40th Annual Technology Media & Telecom Conference just over in New York, several companies have come out of the conference doing better. One is Vringo, whose shares were up 8.29% and closed at $3.79. They have traded in a 52-week range of $0.68 to $4.51.
