Spruce Media, which is one of Facebook’s biggest ad-buying clients, believes that Facebook will go “head-to-head” against Google for advertising on the wider web, a move which it thinks will “turn the existing display ad world on its head.”

It is thought that the online deals provider Groupon has purchased Glassmap at an undisclosed price. Glassmap’s tech permits smartphone users to share their current location on a real-time basis with family and friends.

Pandora Media (NYSE:P): Current price $10.59
The freshly-unified Sony/ATV-EMI music publishing giant has flexed its market clout to negotiate a 25 percent royalty increase from Pandora, says The New York Post, which notes that the arrangement should run for the next 12 months.

On Thursday, Zynga launched Elite Slots on Facebook, representing the latest title to join its growing repertoire of casino games.
Yelp (NYSE:YELP): Current price $20.31
The reviews site Yelp has now added restaurants’ health-inspection grades, providing users yet another criterion through which they can decide where to dine. Yelp said on Thursday that city-provided health-score information will be first available in San Francisco, with restaurant grades for New York City in the coming weeks.
