ForSee Survey Says: Amazon No. 1 in Customer Service

ForSee released results of its customer satisfaction survey with the bigger online retailers over this holiday season.

The survey ranked 40 retailers and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) headed up the list for the 14th consecutive time, scoring 88 on 100, up two points over last year. Overstock.com (NASDAQ:OSTK) came in last at 72, down four points. Gap (NYSE:GPS) was second to last, scoring 73 and down five.

Other interesting findings: the biggest decline in ratings went to Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), which fell seven points to 79. The retailer shot itself in the foot with an abortive plan to split its business and raise subscription prices. “Netflix totally misread its customer base and is paying the price, damaging its brand among both consumers and investors,” said Larry Freed, Chief Executive Officer of ForSee. Ironically, in better days, Netflix was a challenger to Amazon, coming close in its ratings to the retail giant.

The best climber was TigerDirect.com (NYSE:SYX), a tech site, which climbed six points to 79.
