Frontier Communications GOLD and 3 Telecom Titans RINGING
Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE:S): Because Sprint plans to cease service on the iDEN Nextel National Network as soon as June 30, 2013, the company has signed agreements with Goodman Networks, Overland Contracting, Pyramid Network Services and WesTower Communications in order to decommission Sprint’s iDEN network. Under the terms, the suppliers will discuss lease termination agreements, restore cell site compounds, and prevent Sprint network equipment from being re-used or recycled. Before the conclusion of Q3, Sprint expects to have shut down 9,600 iDEN sites. The shares closed up $0.09 (3.18%) Tuesday at $2.92.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ): Share Everything Plans will be available on June 28 and both new and existing customers will be able to use this plan, which includes: unlimited voice minutes; unlimited text, video, and picture messaging; a single data allowance for as many as 10 Verizon devices; and the Mobile Hotspot service. AT&T also suggests it may offer shared data plans. The shares closed up $0.38 (0.89%) Tuesday at $42.94.
Level 3 Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT): Bancaribe Curacao Bank, N.V. has selected Level 3 Communications for a five-year contract which will integrate the bank’s communications. Level 3 will offer managed security services, data center solutions, and international connectivity via Level 3’s global IP MPLS network to the bank’s branch offices across the entire region. The shares traded up $0.65 (3.18%) recently at $21.10.
Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE:FTR): The company was included on UBS’s list of 20 stocks that will do well no matter what because the stocks possess strong dividend payouts, and “tend to provide the most consistent alpha without the need for more tactical management.” The shares traded up $0.13 (3.67%) recently at $3.67.
