On Tuesday, GE Capital Fleet Services said that it reached a major milestone, selling its 100,000th customer vehicle through its Remarketing by GE program. Introduced in 2007, Remarketing by GE has allowed over 300 customers nationwide — including independent finance companies, credit unions, banks, and corporations with owned fleets — to farm out their automotive assets to GE Capital Fleet Services’ team of professional automotive remarketers.
The milestone vehicle was sold at the wholesale vehicle auction operation Manheim Chicago, and the seller was Turner Acceptance Corporation, a long-time Remarketing by GE customer, based in Chicago.

3M Food Safety announced Tuesday that its 3M Molecular Detection Assay Salmonella has been validated through AOAC INTERNATIONAL as a First Action Official Method of Analysis — OMA method number 2013.09 – for the identification of Salmonella in selected foods. A complete review of the study conducted for this AOAC-OMA validation will be published online by the Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC INTERNATIONAL and in an upcoming edition of its Journal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL.
Salmonella, 3M’s Molecular Detection Assay, was launched in December 2011 simultaneously with the 3M Molecular Detection System as a means to assist food processors and other parties detect Salmonella, thus helping to prevent salmonellosis, which affects millions of people every year.

AT&T has announced that Joelle Phillips was appointed president of AT&T Tennessee, having most recently served as general attorney for AT&T Tennessee. Also, the former AT&T Tennessee President Gregg Morton has been named President of AT&T Southeast Region with leadership responsibility for South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Louisiana.
As president of AT&T Tennessee, Phillips will collaborate with community and business leaders, elected officials, and others at AT&T in order to continue to bring advanced communications tech, including mobile 4G LTE, and other broadband services to consumers and businesses.
