Goldman Joins Other Big Banks in Currency Trading Probe and 2 Other Dow Movers to Watch

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE:GS): Current price $162.55

As the international inquiry over currency trading irregularities spreads, Goldman Sachs said in a regulatory filing on Thursday that it is being investigated over the matter, as well. In its quarterly filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Goldman advised that it is cooperating with the regulatory investigation and a number of others, including one regarding its commodities trading. However, the firm did not release any details concerning the inquiry it disclosed.


American Express Co. (NYSE:AXP): Current price $81.86

On Thursday, American Express welcomed Emirates Skywards to its Membership Rewards program. Members currently enrolled in the  Membership Rewards program can now transfer points into the Emirates Skywards program and redeem Skywards Miles for travel on its airlines, according to the credit card company.


Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS): Current price $68.12

Netflix announced Thursday that it purchased a package of four drama series and one miniseries, some 60 episodes, based on the Marvel characters of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. Marvel and ABC Television Studios, which are arms of Walt Disney Co., will produce the programs that will be released on Netflix beginning in 2015. A statement released by the companies said that the programs will take viewers “deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell’s Kitchen, New York.”
