Here’s Why These Dow Components are the Worst Performing Stocks: CAT, CSCO, MSFT, DIA

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down today a mere .15% and stands at 10,994. The stocks below are in negative territory today.

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT): Large global machinery companies were supposed to rise on news of positive reports about the U.S. and European economies. Caterpillar did rise at the beginning of trading today, but has since fallen 1.97%.

Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO): Cisco is announcing major changes to its videoconferencing product. In addition, Cisco is partnering with Inphi to create 100-gigabit Ethernet links in data centers. Despite this news, the stock is down 1.83%.

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT): Microsoft will receive TV content from Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) and Verizon (NYSE:VZ) that can be streamed on XBox. Microsoft is also poised to receive royalties from Samsung for Android sales. Microsoft is down 1.49%.
