(NYSE:HTZ): After listening to the company’s conference call on its merger with Dollar Thrifty (NYSE:DTG), Wells Fargo believes that Hertz’s 2014 EPS may surpass $2.50 if management hits its 14 to 15 percent pretax margin target for the base business by then. The firm believes that revenue synergies from the merger may be significant over the longer term, and it keeps an Outperform rating on the company.
Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. (NYSE:DTG): MKM Partners predicts that Dollar Thrifty’s (NYSE:DTG) merger with Hertz (NYSE:HTZ) will be completed, but the firm sees a 30 percent chance that speculation may come up at some point during the tender that Avis (NYSE:CAR) could be interested in making a competing offer. The firm reiterates a Buy rating on the stock.
Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSOD): According to Piper Jaffray, IBM’s (NYSE:IBM) acquisition of Kenexa (NASDAQ:KNXA) is a positive for Cornerstone OnDemand and a bit on the negative side for Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL). Piper mentions that Cornerstone is launching a next-generation Social Recruiting product and believes that its Enterprise software suite is now incrementally more differentiated.
POZEN, Inc. (NASDAQ:POZN): C.K. Cooper thinks that the delayed NDA submission for POZEN’s PA32540 will not harm its ability to find a a development partner for the drug by early next year or sooner. The firm believes that FDA clarity will assist POZEN’s effort to partner and keeps a Buy rating and $11.00 price target on the stock.
