Home Depot To Offer Samsung Products, Tesla Investigated by ICE: Consumer Biz Report

Home Depot (NYSE:HD), in a Tuesday press release, said that it is expanding its home appliance array to include products from Samsung Electronics America (SSNLF.PK). The products will be available for orders in Home Depot store locations across the country and on homedepot.com starting December 9th.

Sharp Corp. (SHCAY.PK) announced on Tuesday that it consents to a capital investment of as much as ¥9.9 billion, or $120.4 million, from Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM), to reinforce its struggling balance sheet. In return, Sharp will issue ¥4.9 billion of new shares to Qualcomm before the end of 2012 at ¥164 per share.

Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) is being investigated by a federal probe as to whether it was using foreign parts  instead of domestic in the manufacture of electric vehicles. The inquiry, conducted by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement centered on whether Tesla was employing its foreign trade zone status to bypass federal loan mandates that companies must purchase American, according to Freedom of Information Act-obtained documents.
