The underperforming Hong Kong Disneyland is developing an Iron Man-themed area, hoping that the Marvel superhero’s triumph at the Chinese box office will lend itself to enticing more visitors. In a Tuesday announcement, the park said the Iron Man Experience, which should open by late 2016, will include a thrill ride that will allow visitors to ”take flight with Iron Man on an epic adventure” involving a “battle against alien invaders” across Hong Kong. Also, enthusiasts will also be able to snap photos with the action character, see the various Iron Man suits created by alter ego Tony Stark, and visit a gift shop.
