Instagram launched in 2010. And less than one year later, the photo-sharing app had over 10 million users. Today, it boasts around 700 million users, who vary from your somewhat tech-savvy grandmother to A-list celebrities. Now owned by Facebook, the social media duo is estimated to be worth $500 billion.

The evolution of Instagram is brilliant. In fact, it’s surprising to interact with someone who doesn’t have an account, considering the majority of users wake up and go to sleep scrolling through their feed and favorite Instastories. Businesses everywhere have caught on to the marketing potential of the app, and they are exploiting it for all they can. Is there any better way to reach hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of consumers?

Instagram influencers make huge dollars to promote brands, products, experiences, and destinations all over the world. According to Digiday, it’s difficult to set an exact price per post. The amount comes from both the number of followers an influencer has, combined with the engagement coming from their audience. As a general guideline, an influencer can typically charge $1,000 per every 100,000 followers.

According to HopperHQ, these top influencers are raking in way more than that.
