Humana and 2 S&P 500 Winners Bucking the Market Sell Off

The S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY) is down today by 1.64% and stands at 1,264. Here are three well-performing stocks.

Humana (NYSE:HUM): Humana is up as it beat estimates for the 3rd quarter. The reasons for the strong showing are strong Medicare memberships and fewer potential patients actually using Medicare services. Lower benefit expense ratios are expected to continue through 2012. The stock is up 7.89%. Get more details in Your Cheat Sheet to Humana Inc. Earnings.
