Wall St. Revenue Expectations: On average, analysts predict $31.57 billion in revenue this quarter, a rise of 9.6% from the year ago quarter. Analysts are forecasting total revenue of $125.81 billion for the year, a rise of 13.1% from last year’s revenue of $111.2 billion.

Analyst Ratings: nine out of 15 analysts surveyed (60%) have a buy rating on Ford Motor Company.. This is below the mean analyst rating of 10 competitors, which average 66.7% buy ratings.

A year-over-year revenue increase in the first quarter snaps a streak of two consecutive quarters of revenue declines. Revenue rose 4.9% in the first quarter and fell 8.5% in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year and 3.2% in the third quarter of the last fiscal year.

The increase in profit in the first quarter comes after net income fell in the previous quarter. In the first quarter, net income rose 22.4% to $2.55 billion. In the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, net income fell 78.6%.
