Insiders Own a Majority Stake in These Large-Cap Stocks Now

If it’s true that insiders have access to knowledge the broader market does not, perhaps it is a good indication of a company’s worthiness that its insiders own the majority of its outstanding shares.  The following 15 large-cap stocks have the distinction of its insiders holding the majority of its shares. Of course, the other side of this argument is that too many shares held by insiders can lead to cronyism and corruption. To that extent, I decided to limit this list to companies whose market capitalization was at least $1 billion, under the assumption that large publicly traded companies have more known about them by outsiders than do smaller, closely held, publicly traded companies.  Of course, even this is not foolproof; nonetheless, these stocks are at least worth a closer look because of their unusual ownership.
