Intel Will Close Hudson Facility in Massachusetts and 2 Other Hot Stocks to Watch

Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC): Current price $23.28

Intel said Thursday that by the end of 2014, it will shut its only manufacturing facility in Massachusetts, effectively shuttering some 700 jobs. The chip-making giant indicated that it is closing its Hudson plant due to the factory using outdated tech to manufacture older-generation computer chips that are being phased out.


Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI): Current price $3.80

Sirius XM Radio and Bleacher Report announced Friday that they are partnering to create a new daily sports talk program that will start on Monday. Bleacher Report Radio will be hosted by Steve Covino and Rich Davis of Sirius XM and will be broadcast nationwide every weekday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern on Sirius XM Sports Zone (Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 208).


SunEdison Inc. (NYSE:SUNE): Current price $7.42

SunEdison on Friday announced the pricing of a public offering of 30 million shares of common stock at $7.25 per share. The underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to buy as many as an additional 4.5 million shares from the company, all at the offering price excluding the underwriting discount. SunEdison will use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which it expects to include the funding of working capital and growth initiatives. Deutsche Bank Securities and Goldman Sachs & Co. are serving as lead book-running managers for the offering, which should close on September 18.
