Net income increased 6.2% to $1.13 billion ($1.14 per diluted share) in the quarter versus a net gain of $1.06 billion in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose 10.85% to $31.39 billion from the year-earlier quarter.

CVS Caremark Corporation reported adjusted net income of $1.14 per share. By that measure, the company beat the mean analyst estimate of $1.1. It beat the average revenue estimate of $31.13 billion.

Net income increased 3.06% to $107.6 million (76 cents per diluted share) in the quarter versus a net gain of $104.41 million in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose 15.69% to $1.34 billion from the year-earlier quarter.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. reported adjusted net income of 76 cents per share. By that measure, the company beat the mean analyst estimate of $0.65. It beat the average revenue estimate of $1.33 billion.
