Lions Gate, Illumina, US Airways, Textron Among Stock Percentage Winners Jan. 25th

Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:LGF): Lionsgate and Televisa have agreed on terms for a longterm programming and development venture to create English language television content for U.S. broadcast and cable networks, it was announced at NATPE by Lionsgate Co-Chairman and CEO Jon Feltheimer and Televisa President and CEO Emilio Azcarraga. The shares closed at $10.83, up $1.08, or 11.08%. They have traded in a 52-week range of $5.69 to $9.78.

Illumina, Inc. (NASDAQ:ILMN): Roche (RHHBY) announced that it is proposing to acquire all outstanding shares of Illumina (NASDAQ:ILMN) for $44.50 per share in cash, or an aggregate of approximately $5.7 billion on a fully diluted basis. This offer represents a 64% premium over Illumina’s stock price on Dec. 21, 2011 the day before market rumors about a potential transaction between Roche and Illumina drove Illumina’s stock price significantly higher a 61% premium over the one-month historical average and a 43% premium over the three-month historical average of Illumina’s share price, both as of December 21. It also represents a 30.1x multiple of Illumina’s projected forward earnings based upon analysts’ current consensus estimates for 2012. The shares closed at $55.15, up $17.46, or 46.33%. They have traded in a 52-week range of $25.57 to $79.40.

US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE:LCC): Says has retained Barclays Capital, Milstein & Co, Lathan and Watkins explore the options as they relate to AMR (AAMRQ) bankruptcy. Says expects AMR will remain in bankruptcy and anticipates it will be studying the situation for quite some time. Comments made on the Q4 earnings conference call. The shares closed at $7.52, up $1.11, or 17.32%. They have traded in a 52-week range of $4.53 to $11.28.

Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT): Sees FY12 revenue $12.5B vs. consensus $11.9B. The shares closed at $24.76, up $3.15, or 14.58%. They have traded in a 52-week range of $14.66 to $28.87.
